October’s MSP Audio Geeks meetup is Tuesday, October 10th, at 4pm at Drum Farm Studio. Thanks to Jackson Dols and Jared Miller for coordinating this!

From the website:
Drum Farm Studio is the recording studio of drummer John Louis Richardson, located in rural Menomonie, WI. Set in the pastoral farmland of the Midwest, Drum Farm Studio offers natural sounding acoustics on a secluded 100-acre organic farm, away from the distractions of the city.

A 100-year-old granary barn was converted to a recording studio in 2010 and features walls lined with reclaimed, old-growth lumber—some boards as wide as three feet. The wood-lined walls and acoustical design of the rooms make for a sound that’s lively but not too lively—just right.

For a sneak peek of the studio check out this video.

Feel free to invite your friends and join us for an afternoon of audio geekery! Since this is a ways away we encourage folks to carpool. Please email mspaudiogeeks at gmail dot com if you’re planning to attend & if you’d like to carpool.

Date: Tuesday, October 10, 2017
Time: 4pm
Location: Drum Farm Studio

Directions: GPS & other map services usually don’t get it right, so please use these directions. Head East on 94 until you get to Exit 45. Take Exit 45 for County Road B. Then take a left to head North on B. Cross over the railroad tracks, then take the first right turn after you cross over the tracks. There is a sign that says “Rusk”. It is also called “650th Ave.” Turn right to go East. Go straight on that road for a couple miles. Keep going straight past the stop sign. Then just before the road starts to curve left there will be a house and farm nestled in a group of trees on the left. This is the studio. If you see a little white church, you’ve gone too far. The driveway says “Richardson” on the mailbox. This is where you turn in. Once you are on the driveway, the studio is the red building directly in front of you, past the brick house and garage.
Parking: There should be plenty of room to park on the gravel right in front of the studio. If it is wet, please avoid driving or parking on the grass.
